Back due to popular demand The Bubba Challenge.I decided to open early enrollment on this one.The other contests will open in February sometime. At which time I can reveal the new product line we will be using in 2015.For 35$ you will be entered into the Bubba Challenge & get 1-1947.5 seed 1-1460 Gehweiler & 1 1317 Cross from Andy box.The seeds were stolen from the 1503.So Andy has a back up cross with the 1317 as the male. This will be limited to the first 50 entrants. So if you want in?Send me a note to sign up at Mark@worldwidegiantgrowers.com Then follow up by sending a check for 35$ or send 36$ using pay pal Payment@worldwidegiantgrowers.com If you dont know how it works heres the link http://worldwidegiantgrowers.com/Bubba_Smokey_Challenge.html Im doing this early due to the high demand for this seed.If you dont want in this contest you can buy a 1947 at OVGPG seed sale or go to an auction.I will let people in after the 50 seeds are gone,But you must have your own 1947.5 Clementz or seeds from Chad or Andy.I already have a few early sign ups so I figured it only fair to post this.If you have prize money coming from 2014 you can have the 35$ deducted the same goes for the T-Shirts.Thank you Very Mulch! Questions??Mark@worldwidegiantgrowers.com

Mark, I am going to join WWGG and I just wanted to know where I could find the submittal form. I could not find it on the page that gave instructions on how to join. Thanks. Mr.Grower Response: I will not open enrollment till mid February.I will have full details at that time.Im am putting together my own label.Lets call it Bubbas Special Blend for now. There will be several products for growing the giants available by membership only. The 2015 videos more detail then ever.(Bubba pants around his ankles)will be members only videos. You will get access to a private channel on YouTube I did however open the Bubba Challenge to the first 50 people who join, after that the seeds are gone, there gone. There are 25 spots left at this present time. After that you can join, but will have to obtain seeds from auctions.Only paid members will get to win the Bubba Challenge. They must grow one of the seeds listed 1947.5 Clementz,1450BOXestdmg or the 1460 Gehweiler.Or all 3 if they want. You can use any male pollinator you like. Not putting membership form up as I do not want people to join contests without full details. However so many 1947.5 requests I opened the Bubba Challenge.Send 35$ to Mark Clementz 103 W.Sherman st Holly Mi.48442 or 36$ thru Paypal mark@worldwidegiantgrowers.com and I will hold your spot. Gone to Florida Fishing Just a note as I run out the door Yes,You pretty much have it figured out.If you really want to play it safe on the seed.Proven is best. The 2009 Wallace,1985 Miller,1730 Werner,1317 Clementz. The magic combo that made the 2009 Wallace was the 1409 Miller male. Most of the other 1725s werent nearly as good, not even close. They hit the magic bullet cross with the 1409 Miller. But That might not work for every seed as the father.seeds are just like people.Different mate looks come out, sizes & shapes. The soil is important but Beni has proved the feeding is more important then anything. You should get your soil loose as possible & balanced to the med to high side of suggested.levels,You may not get it perfect.Thats ok.We will test our soils & see whats missing. The when we feed the plant on a daily basis we can add the missing nutrients, minerals to the feed.Thats what Im saying 80% of the growers are chasing seeds & not there soil & feeding program. They will spend 1000 $ on a seed or seeds, but back down when its time to spend a 1000$ on compost.I know I did it for years.I talked to many growers that are doing this very thing. There missing the bus. There great seed could go 2500 but it wont, they didnt get there soil loose & ready for the task. They wont buy the right feeding products & take the time to give them a daily feeding.Thats good that puts me on top.Even tough I share to much, most still wont listen.I will spill my guts in my videos this 2015 season which will only be available to WWGG members.SHHH!! Keep it a secret! but go tell a friend Bubbas going to try & get lucky again in 2015.Some think I just got lucky!Time will tell it always does.Ma Ma always said I was "Sharp as a marble"But Bubba marbles arent sharp.Broken ones are,Were all a little broken,Thats OK! Growem BIG!! Well Im headed to Florida in the morning,Packing the Bubba truck with saws & such will stop & see my mentor Chris Kent and talk for a few hours.Mentors are great

Wow!Who are you? and what have you done with Peter Grower??lol JK . Thats great! Let me know which one you decide.I will give you 2 so you can start both and get the better plant.Although on the 1317 I started 4 last year they all looked good. The year(2013) I grew the 2009 Wallace that pollinated the 1317 the 2nd plant looked like a turd in a punch bowl.So I think starting multiple plants is important.People think your wasting seeds but it beats the hell out of wasting a season.I hope you grow a world record 1 lb smaller then mine.Thats another secret grow someones great seed & the next season the seed is now yours (not theres) Peter Grower 2456 WR Wow! This can happen!!!!lol Looking forward to 2015 Mark

Bubbas back!! I have been tossing around what to with Bubba. There seems to be mixed bag of feelings here. Some find him repulsive offensive, even been told he is to sexual.Lol it must be the U.S record long gourd??lol But I understand both sides.Kinda like Austin Powers I dont find the humor there myself. They kind of have the same teeth.lol Others love Bubba I told a guy the other day Bubba wont be in the videos this year.He responded Oh No My kids love Bubba It shows them were having fun.So I may just throw Bubba in at the very end of a few of the videos for those who like him.The guys who dont can dump the video at that point & not miss any valuable info.I think this is a happy medium. Its hard to pleas everyone, but I try.

Vodoo Juice & Companion are both bacillus.I believe Companion is only 1 strain. The Voodoo juice has several strains. My new Root Keeper also contains bacillus. Saxtin Where are you growing at? Sounds like your soil has not warmed up & how are you watering this young plant? If you make up a full dose of ferts & dump it on a small area it will be way to much for the plant to take. Example. Bubba mixes up 1 gallon of miracle grow & dumps on a spot 2 feet x 2 feet = 4 sg feet. This 1 gallon mix was intended for 2x5 spot 10 sq feet.So its better to do 1/4 strength doses on small plants.Even later on I Think trickle feed is best!! Giant Pumpkin Growers dont let there friends mix full strength & Grow!! This is the type of basics growing techniques I will share. Some of the growers who have grown for years make this simple mistakes. There will be loads of great information in Bubbas 2015 Members ONLY videos.Seed starting video 1 will up in 1 week.

The last of the 1947.5s there were 580 viable seeds. The bag on the right contains the final 200.There are 19 packs on the table. So after shipping the Bubba Challenge seeds out 50 packs.Leaves about 170 after another 10 packs to by loyal friends in Canada & elsewhere.(160)Over 400 seeds passed out 1st year. This doesnt leave a lot for year 2.If you havent got one by now. There really tight now.You better have your pretty wife to ask for one.Cause I aint given 1 to know ugly guy.lol I really beleive this seed has a 2500 lber in it.Orange or creme or white is the mystery??Has anyone heard from Paul from Australia?? He was growing in last December?Dont you grow no ugly Pumpkin! They will ship Monday morning to awl growers worldwide. In fact I will do the overseas & Canada first.

OK! The Bubba challenge ready to go in bubbles.Heres a little secret. Most dont know or are in denial about. The seed is only half the equation.Without the other half of the equation,Well your in the middle of the pack.Thats number 800 out of 1600.So I Sink it more important to chase a good feeding regiment then to spend most of your effort getting seeds. If your soil is not the best. You can still feed it right & supplement with Bubbas 2015 video series. If you havent seen my video on Worldwidegiantgrowers.com Take 16 minutes out of your day.It will be well worth it come weigh off time.Thank ya Very Mulch!! http://worldwidegiantgrowers.com/Membership.html

Zig zag across garden like every 20 feet pounding another core in several spots.I take about 8 core samples. Then mix in box.To get dirt out of core hit the pipe with the hammer tap it gently.Dirt should fall out into box.Shake dirt or stir with wood stake to mix all cores together.

Sunday, April 12 View Page
Dump dirt out to let dry. They need it dry, plus you will save on postage.Although it should fit in a If it fits it ships for like 5$ to ship.So then weight wouldnt matter. If its dry you will most likely get your results back faster. This way there not weighting on it to dry. If a bird flys over and poops on your sample.Return to patch & start over over.lol JK Have a great day Sunny & 65 here.Woot Woot!! Going to be 60s all week.

Bubbas Black Gold!!Organic matter only 3.2% Whoda thunk!! My goal is to get her loose.I added 5 yd loads of sand to each Kin Cave the past 2 years.I was told by a few folks."You will make concrete with the sand"Keep it a secret,I forgot to add the Portland cement to the sand.So here you go loose as a goose combined with 50 yds of composted grass/leaves/manure,over 9,000 sgfeet Headed out today to put screenhouse back up.Have a nice weekend!

Saturday, April 18 View Page
If you look close you can see the sand. The sand is the largest particle in the soil(excluding rocks. It will prevent the clay from binding back together.SHH! Keep it A secret! Sand is the cheapest way to loosen your clay based ground.Put it on about 2 inches thick & till it in several times. I use the same sand I put under the kins 5 yds about 125$ delivered. You pick it up like 25$ at a gravelpit supply.

Wow!What a gorgeous day out.It was nice all week.Started on the Kin cave I.This was about 4 hrs to set the 2-60 foot long walls and stake them down.plus I added a 2x6 to the south end to stop dirt from washing out of houseto the wetlands. It appears my giant raised bed here is getting deeper.I might start my kins tomorrow 8 plants & 1 Squash The 1362 Pugh!I will check the 10 day forecast first.

Onward & upward gathering seeds Thanks Pete Beni Gary Patrick.I will start 3 & 4 plants of each and do the culling method recommended by many great growers.I will start 8 1947s and grow 2 plants from the best.I hope to put the 1317 over 2000 lbs this year and will start 4 plants to get 1 plant to the finish line. I will starting soaking at noon & place in pots this evening.Soaking them in distilled water with 3% hydrogen peroxide.Nothing else that could be contaminated with bad bacteria.

Ok Kin Cave 1 is framing is done,Thats it, the rest is hoops.I see so many greenhouses overbuilt to the max. This is all you need.Next we intall 34 foot hoop every 2 feet. There only 10$ a pc. 30 or so needed. Then the screen & door do on.About 2 days to assemble once the kit is made up.Very portable if you ask me.It dances in wind like a shock absorber. It has danced to 70 MPH winds with 0 damage to anything.I did however crap my pants while watching from the window.lol Well Time to go start seeds.

Ok I pulled the saran rap off the flats after 48 hrs I sprayed the tops with water & check the temp 79 degrees in the one & 84 in the other.I dont think 5 degrees means much.We will see which ones pop first? Will check every 12 hrs from here on out.Weather outside has turned cold and crappy high 50 And raining off & on.

No! Thats not a soil amendment.Thats snow.Winters back. This is why I dont start my plants real early. This might last a week or 3 weeks its anybody's guess.People think, but your in a greenhouse Bubba?? Greenhouses dont work without the sun.Son. lol We can have an entire month of clouds. So I lay low & wathch the 10 day forecast. Will they go in the ground May 1st ? the 6th? the 10th? You can spin your wheels in the cold mud to gain 2 days growth at best.Patience Grasshopper Patience

Calling Dr Bubba do the surgical room.I like to remove the shells if I feel they have been on to long.If not you will rot the cots.Do not try this at home I am a professional. These had been on quite a while as they popped a root in the cool 65 degree basement, unattended.

Wednesday, April 22 View Page
No seedlings were harmed in the removal.I have never lost one doing this procedure. There now under the lites. These are a little ahead of the others I will make a early video in 1 week transplanting to the patch.

Wednesday, April 22 View Page
9 out of 30 are popped up enough to remove from heat.Bottom heat is not good once there up.I will pull another dozen in the morning as the soil was cracking.I heard some say they were told to never do this.Poppycock.The shells will only hinder them. The 1947s 2036s 1362 Sqush & all the 1985 Millers are up.The 2323s were cracking the soil but not up yet.

Wednesday, April 22 View Page
Heres a close up

Wednesday, April 22 View Page
Shells off 3 I will let the others pop up and do tomorrow.gently squeeze pliers, never pullup on tool.lol You may have to squeeze and release several times to break shell. Then it will fall off.Now they go 2 inches under the florescent lites upstairs where its warmer.like 70 instead of 65

Thursday, April 23 View Page
Good morning little fellers!!I suppose you seedlings are wondering why I ask you here today? You are the few the proud the GIANTS!!lol Your mission is to catch Beni. You can do it!! I know you can!!We will start by removing your shells.Dont be shy you wont feel a thing.lol 14 more are up thats 23 total up ,out of 30 in 3 & 1/2 days.Looks like the 1947s 6 out of 8 & 1 1985 Miller left to go.They are slow like there father & grandfather I may mark these ones & give them special notice(if they plants all look the same in 2 weeks I will plant the slow ones from the start up line.

Thursday, April 23 View Page
Keeping them close to the lights(florescent). There are types can get to hot for this.I will have a fan just circulating the air in room to help keep them strong stems. Not a high setting just a mild flow.FLO! lol

The final 3. 1 stubborn 1985 Miller & 2 stubborn TinySwazrtzZZaneggers(1947s).Temp 82 degrees.27 out of 30 are up in 4 & 1/2 days.Thats 90% germed in just distilled water.I will put them all in 2 gallon bags this Sunday & inoculate them in Root Keeper.I didnt want the Root Explosion happening in these tiny pots. The Root Keeper comes in a 2 lb powder.2 tsp per gallon for first 2 waterings. Then I will switch to 1 tsp per gallon for soil drenchs when plant is big to help maintain root health & vigor.Root Keeper was made in March.Very fresh product.Dont keep watering it in.Just once when you transplant is good.

Friday, April 24 View Page
Note You transplant twice.once in bag.once in patch.Other wise just inoculate as you place in patch

Ok 2 more popped a root.Thats 29 out of 30.Only the 1985 Miller is left & the soil is cracked. So I maybe counting my chickens before they hatch. But hey Bubba likes the old foot in the mouth once in a while.lol I have marked these slow 1947s I will watch them closely to decide which 2 to plant.I think a few people will be amazed at what these produce in my patch this year. The 1317 & 1947 will rock the world in 2015 !!!!!!Call me crazy! most folks do.

Friday, April 24 View Page
1985 Miller the last one up.I wasnt taking any chances been 5 1/2 days under soil.So I pulled the hard coat off.30 out of 30 germed.Conclusion=4-5 hour soak(distilled water) is best(light filing)I cant ever remember going 30 for 30.I think this is a good sign of things to come for 2015.I have 3-2323s Meier 4-2036s Glasier 3-1985 Millers 8-1947s ClementzZ 4-1768s ClementZZ 4 -1317s ClementZZ & 4 1362 Pugh Squash Thats 30 plants for 8 spots the 1947 gets 2 grown.Notice to locals I may have some backups to giveaway in 3-4 weeks.

Giving the seedlings there first foliage feed.Just plain water. You wouldn't give a porterhouse steak to a baby would you? They wont get ferts till there in the ground 1 week.

Ok watered the plants today. Were in a holding pattern soil is 48 degrees in patch.no cables installed.I think mother nature will do the job this season.I may not use soil cables this year.I could change my mind in 1 week if the weather turns cold. I used 5 gallons of water this am.Thats 21 oz per plant. These pro mix peat based mixes hold a lot of water/Must be carefull not to get them soaked.I watered the outside of bag, this allows the water to soak towards the center. This will be better to draw the roots out to the water.I dont water the center at the seedling. This will shut them down for a period of time.I did pre moisten the soil prior to filing the bags.So there is mositure down low in bag(lightly). You wouldnt want to dump a 1/2 gallon of water in these bags as it would be to wet.If plants wrinkle up & turn yellow there to wet.If so get a fan running in room on high about 10 to 15 feet from plants to dry them out.Fans are good! This is the kind of detail I will put in this seasons 2015 Member only videos.SHHH!Keep it a secret but go tell a friend There is still time to join.

Great weekend! warmer then average temps,Put doors on screenhouses.Plants are about 6-7 days ahead of last years. Not using grow lites or soil cables as I dont see the need with temps in the high 70s & 80s most days.We get a 2 day cold snap then right back to southern temps.I think this season will be better then last year.I gave away back ups to my Uncle Bob,my dads younger brother who is a serious gardener & sells pumpkins at a road side stand each year.Gave one to a local guy from the Moose who wanted to grow one for years now.Paul & Eri picked up the rest.I have 2 plants left if anyone is needy??Have a Great week!!

Not a great weekend It rained most of today.I did manage to get out a 7 pm & start my drip tape.I will run it totally different then before. Each plant will be on its own zone, instead of 2 on a zone. This will allow me to dial the water in better.I also will space them at 18 inches instead of 24 inches.I think this will make them go heavier.I dont think going heavy is all genetics. In fact I think its all about water & calcium.Time will tell.It always does.

1947 outside plant, removing the house today. The first secondary's are touching the sidewalls.I didnt realize some folks fasten there plastic to the wooden frame.I like to have the option to remove plastic on clear days.plus & can put screen over when hail is forecasted. The screen is better in a storms then plastic.Plastic stands like a brick wall with chance of blowing away in the wind or being torn to pieces by the wind. The screen diffuses the wind and flexs in wind.I call the Kin caves Dances in wind when the 60 mph come.Plants totally unscathed at 70 mph so far.

Run Forest Run!! Well this plant has nice secondarys out of the hole.Thats what you want.It will be a full plant at time of pollination.I remember Pap Wallace saying dont be concerned with other peoples plants.Just focus on yours.Last year I bit my fingernails watching the huge plants folks had that were 2 weeks ahead of me.Then at the scales most of them were behind me.So I guess were not growing plants. Were growing Giant Pumpkins. Thanks Pap!!

Weather has been cool & cloudy a few days over 80 one even 88,but it didnt seem 88.Real cloudy,I still think the cloudy summers are from the ice caps melting. They say we are loosing 1200 feet a year of ice on the north pole.If we progress like it has been we could have another great year weather wise.Dont need it over 85.Plants could be a pinch bigger, but not concerned yet.

Thanks to Russ Pugh, Pete Glasier ,Rob Globus I was able to figure out the best way to install misters in the Kin Caves.Im using the river water as that pump puts out 8 gallons a minute. The hose water with chlorine doesnt have as much pressure or volume. This shouldnt be a problem as I have 2 filters in place.I wont be running them as often as the Western Guys due to the high humidity in Michigan.but it will help cool things down a bit. This is the 1985 Miller on the left & Beni 2323 on the right.SVBs are everywhere outside. So Treated all plants(inside& out) 20 gallons of water with Merit 2tsp.of 75%.I will do this every 10 days as last year they got my 1768 1641 & 1609 plants.

The 1317 Clementz 1 day ahead of last years pollination.Time to think of the perfect name for this one.The rest of the plants will pollinate looks like 2323 on the 25th.The Miller 26th or 27th? The 1947 inside like the 30th.The 1947 outside maybe the 26th&27th.This will give a variety of big plants at conception & small plants. This will be a nice test to see if plant size really matters.

Thursday, June 25 View Page
Pollinated the 1947 with the 1317 Clementz outside plant.I will self the inside 1947 in about 4-5 days.Plant is smaller due to all the clouds.Low to mid 60s this am.Looks lie the next week will be cool.It will however be farther out on a bigger plant. This will be a great year to see which grows bigger?? Big plant farther out? smaller plant earlier pollination? The 1317 was first on the 20th.Time will tell it always does.

Thursday, June 25 View Page
2323 Beni X 1317 Clementz I will put big & orange into the 2323,hopefully the 1317 this year is orange?Big round & heavy either way.

The 2323 is very sensitive to scorching. It is doing this with temps outside 80 inside Kin cave 88.Looks like we may get another cool summer similar to last year. The heavy rains & storms keep missing me.Hopefully my Luck continues in this area.A cool sunny summer would be perfect. It wont be long Marks Mixes will be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.I have no doubts myself as this isnt my first rodeo with these GREAT ingredients.SHH! Keep it a secret!!WE are getting great results all over North America!!

Dap 10 of my 1317 Clementz this is a sister to the 1947.5 Clementz.I have never done a 10 day measurement,Pete Glasier asked me if I did this,So I thought What the hell cant hurt.20 inch circum, cool cloudy year seems to be slowing us down.Butt this one is on pace so far with last years I beleive.Sun Please give us some Sun. There are only 75 seeds left to this great cross so I selfed it.Trying to come up with a good name for this one.I will have a name guessing contest here on BP general discussion. If I pick your name you will win a Pumpkin Power shipped free to your house.Im thinking like TinyRockaNegger!!ButTT Im sure we can do better then that.

Wednesday, July 1 View Page
Cloudmaggeddon Consumed most of June Im guessing we had 10-12 days of sun.The rest were mostly cloudy days.Like 10 days complete clouds.Im sticking with my theory. The ICE Caps are melting the cool air is pushing the jet stream south and producing the clouds.Laugh if you like. They laughed at Noah.I love the cool summers. But if this continues I will have to pull te covers off the Screen house to give the plants the 20% of the sun it takes away.Looks like starting tomorrow we have 3-4 days of full sun.Im on schedule with last years fruits. So bring on the sun or im breaking out the cordless drill.

The pumpkin here is yet to be named But Im liking TinyGotBackanegger so far.I think a Hulk name would be good or I may use it on another kin & award a 2nd prize to that co-winner.If you have a good name I will consider it there is 6 days left to guess.Dap 11 grew 3.5 inches in 24 hrs.Not bad for 2 hours of sun.The smaller kins seem like there standing still.I hope they took??

1317 Clementz 42 seeds left for the 2016 season.20 go to clubs.22 go to WWGG seed sales to fund prize structure & few great friends.Very limited.I have 30 left in the freezer for my own personal growing for the next 3-5 years.I did self this years 1317 TinyGotbackanegger. To free up any confusion. The 1317 was crossed with 1 plant. The 2009 Wallace. The fruit was shaped like the 2032 Mathison,buTT cracked sideways due to grower error(at300lbs).The 1947 was pollinated(multiple) with sibling 2009 wallace plants. Some of the 1317s like 15% come out creme color like the father 2009 wallace.I repeat there was 1 Plant used to pollinate the 1317.Thats all I grew in 2013 1 plant.I did use multiple flowers I always do.I was raised in the 60s Hippie times multiple flower pollinating was just a given then lol

They were very ticked I won it last year,Several of the Canfield fellas wouldnt even talk to me.They walked right past me & out of the building last October at the Big Event.Bill Neptune was a true gentlemen & congratulated me,On placing in the top 3.So last year I won with a 1124.This year we show up they have 1200 lbers still young pretty baby soft(young) cut off waiting for Bubba to show, lol We have Birdmans ugly duck Pumpkin petered out at 1057lbs on the truck.Bubba didnt bring a thing.LOL Seems the OVGPG backbone of the club dont love me since I dont stay down in 10th place like a good boy.lol Well I dont go where Im not wanted.looking for a new site? 1317 Clementz I will be starting a new contest in 2016.The "Dont You Grow no Ugly Pumpkin"contest. You can use any seed you like.I will sell the seeds from mine to raise the prize money.Thinking like 1500 to 2 grand for first place.Whoever grows the heaviset all orange pumpkin.(bottom excluded)lol. Will win 1st place with 2nd and 3rd place prize also.I will work out the details this winter. If anyone would like to co sponsor or help with this??Im all ears?? I think we need to try & do what Howard Dill was doing 40 years.Grow world record pumpkins. That look like pumpkins. Not squash or gourds.

I was giving my Scarecrow look.lol I don't think were in Kanasas anymore Marti.LOL Somebody asked me if I was going orange??No Im not going Orange.I just don't see a need to go ugly.I think I can grow a WR Orange Pumpkin. That is the WWGGs new quest along with the other contests we have.Stay tuned this winter for 2016 details/the Kin in the back is 1947 Clementz off spring Which is 1317 X 2009 Wallace then I did it again X 2009 Wallace. This years one is 1947X1317 pollination. Surely we have HEAVY ORANGE genectics now.The big one is the 1317 selfed. Its all about the chromosones pairing up.Its like a box of Chocolates,Ya never know what your going to get??Each seed in a kin can be as different or the same as you and your siblings.Think about that. Some 6 foot 4 some 5 foot 10 .Then theres the short one,all from the same genectic pool.

My math maybe wrong on the 1947.5 Clementz It should be %75 2009 Wallace 1st year Tiny (1317) 1495 Stelts X 2009 Wallace= 50% 2009 wallace 2nd Year(1947.5) TinySwartzaneggger 1317 X 2009 Wallace So its 66% or 75% ?? Is there a Mathematician in the House??lol Its mostly heavy WR genetics throwing Orange!!

This is the 1583 seed you will get in the 2016 Bubba Challenge.Keep in mind this was pollinated 2 weeks late on a side vine.Pete had made a grower error on the main vine & lost his chance for that fruit set.Note.The world record shape. This seed is 75% 2009 Wallace genetics and still is, As it was selfed. Its throwing Orange.I believe this seed has a World Record Orange pumpkin in it.Just Bubbas not so humble opinion.6% heavy & orange.Pete made some mistakes as do most of us each year. His Personal best was 800 lbs or so.Congrats! Great Job PETE!! Please join our Bubba Challenge, Open now at Worldwidegiantgrowers.com & reserve your spot.Limited to 50 spots.

Yes I agree,if your looking for 100% perfect pumpkin you could really set the bar high & even weed out my line of seeds if you wanted to. Butt heres the Big BUTT, The goal here is to keep orange pumpkins growing over 2000 lbs.Thats my goal.I think the 2006 color ruling has drawn us away from that. The quest for the heaviest pumpkin in the world is fine.BUTT,One thing I noticed is people looking at my 1768 Clementz in 2014 & saying "Is that a squash??".If it doesn't look like a pumpkin? Whats the point? So I want to grow pumpkins that a total newbie looks at ans says "Wow! Look at that Giant Pumpkin "There is no guarantee with any seed that you get orange BuTT we can improve the chances greatly & get a line of seeds that will make the Top 10 in the world each year.So please join me in my quest at Worldwidegiantgrowers.com for $35 you get a 1734 -1947 or 1177 seed & How to grow video series on my Secret Facebook page.Plus you may win a 1317 in a giveaway. Its a great deal with prizes all season long. Were having Fun & growing Big Kins.I just set up a new mobile app so you can join on your cell phones. Thank Ya! Very Mulch!! http://worldwidegiantgrowers.com/Membership.html
