Rain this am just a tease 1/8 inch,butt better then the typical drought in August.Lawns are still green here.Temps are perfect for pumpkins highs are high 70s low 80s all week lows 60.Maybe we can get a good September also.Last year September got cold on the 13th and was crap the rest of the month.Shhh! Keep it a Secret & dont tell a friend.Carl(Donkin) is right,Weather plays a huge roll in growing.Some folks told me Everything was perfect when I grew the 1947.Well it wasnt that kin could of put on another 100 lbs with a good September.I got 400 lbs on the 1478 in September in 2012.I hope to see that this year.Maybe 500lbs ???? HulkSmasher ooozzing globs around the bottom the size of small marbles bigger then pea size.I hope she keeps going??Any squash growers got tips for a rookie squash grower??
