Hi all. I am starting my seeds and after soaking one in water for 2 hours the seed developed a air pocket inside the seed. If I put pressure on the seed the air comes out of the tip of the seed. What do I do to insure germination of this seed?! Thanks in advance for the help!

Ok, thanks Don! It's weird how all of the seeds I have planted for practice have germed but these ones have not yet germed. If you put a seed in a paper towel how long does it take for the seed to grow a root? I put the seeds in the towel 16 hours ago. Thanks.

Been doing the paper towel thing all winter Ash,,,,,, practice, practice, practice! Some germinated in 20 hours and others took as long as 3 days.

Most of the seeds seem to germ right at 24 to 36 hours. Right into the soil and up in a day or two:)

I've always done the paper towel baggie thing. I get germination anywhere from 24 to 36 hours. Once an old seed took 5 days.

Ca growers normally start mid april, but I have some good weather forecasted ( highs of 80, lows of 50.) I also have heating cables, black plastic, and a greenhouse down just incase. Also, yes I did file the seeds. They are currently inside my homemade incubater at 80-85 F. Thanks for the help!
