Initial Scale Placement
It is hard to capture the moment and excitement when a pumpkin is first placed on a scale with a visible and live updating readout display. While there were many mixed emotions, this image is a good capture of the electric energy that was present on the initial touch down on the scale.
I can say that when the numbers jumped well above the 2174 to 2198 estimated pounds for this damaged pumpkin, it did hurt to see. However, the shock was shared by all. The ring was removed and the scale did settle down, and then the cameras and congratulations soon followed.
