As for my regular patch, I am definitely well into new pb territory, if that pumpkin makes it to a weigh off. Why was the regular patch moderately successful (by bp standards or very successful by my own standards), and yet the 150 sq ft plant was such a failure? Of course, last year was the opposite, the main patch was a failure and the kid's 150 sq ft plant was a success. So then, is it genetics... random luck with nutrient ratios... or something unseen beneath the soil, like nematodes?
