now you need the top support, this serves 2 purposes. It keeps the pins from pushing up and gives a nice platform to stand on. My first model used a 2x4 as the top beam but my newest model uses a pressure treated deck board. it gives a much better platform to stand on. cut it to fit between the handles, then screw to the beam. I put 2 screws in between every pin hole. I really wanted the board to be secure.
