i got 2 46" ash handles, these can be found at Lowes or Home Depot. Drive them into the holes with a hammer until they are flush with the bottom of the beam. use a small drill bit to drill pilot holes for the screws that will secure the handle. Because of the strain put on the tool I put 4 screws in each handle. 2 on each side of the beam.
