here is the benefit of a broad fork. This model will go down to 14.5 inch deep. where my patch is was filled with sand 30 years ago. I have never been able to get it all mixed in very well. with the broadfork I got the soil flipped and tilled it to incorporate the sand the was there. It was so packed from years of just sitting. now I can't step in the spot that I have forked without sinking extremely deep.
