Im in bc kamloops and pm wipes out my plants late in the season . I have tested safers defender. And bordo fungicide. Both hurt the leaves in isolated testing.last year i done baking soda. And milk spray with no noticabl results. Is it better to just let pm do its thing as frost is close behind anyway?. I seem to only damage leaves attempting to combat pm. Thank you in advance. Eagle 20 fungicide ... along with some biological fungicides.. I like actinovate and a product I don’t use anymore unless things go real bad.. is subculture B I think it’s general hydro product expensive but it works amazing when sprayed on leafs top and bottom

Ordering online from Amazon.com (not Amazon.ca) is one way to get fungicide products that will work. Or, if you know any farmers or winery owners in Kamloops, thy can hook you up with the stuff you need.

I rotate between Bravo and Cabrio. Not much is needed and only a couple of applications per growing season and you won’t see PM.

Thanks for the answers guys. I found cabrio and quadris here in town but $500ca before tax for one gal. Looks like pm is staying part of my life. To bad i cant get some smaller amount.

Eagle 20 is the absolute best for powdery mildew. I haven’t had a touch of it in 10 years since adding it to the rotation. It’s not toooo expensive, maybe $50 a pint off the top of my head. No leaf burn or compatibility issues. If anything I’d say it causes the leaves to get gigantic for some reason, if you use too much of it.

I found that neem oil works, but if you spray it in bright sunny weather it can burn leaves. Daconil helps and is cheap, and milk sprays tend to hold it off but won't kill PM. August is when PM really gets bad in Iowa. Our wind speeds are the slowest of the year. And humidity is about the highest due to transpiration in our corn crops. Perfect conditions for mildew to develop.

Eagle 20 is no longer effective against pm.

Luna Experience is the way to go.

Last year I had pm bad late in the season. Several applications of Eagle later it was getting worse. One application of Luna Experience, within a week there was no sign of it anywhere.

If i use nova 40 do i need to coat both sides of every leaf? Or is spraying just from above adequate.
