I posted some pics in my diary. I found these leaves yesterday when I got home from work. They are about 4 feet from the pumpkin and it looks like the new growth might be doing the same thing. Thanks for any help. I put captan on and have done 2 or 3 applications of companion through out the season.

Looks like heat damage to me. I had it a lot this year on two plants. They just did not like the upper 80's and 90's early on.

Its possible. We were at 94 yesterday. Just kind of weird 3 other plants don't have the same symptoms. It is the plant that gets the most sun though.

Each plant acts differently, last year I had 1 that would get burnt badly and 5 that would not even care.

I think Mikkal is right on. I have one plant that burns like that, and another that doesn't.

I think if you keep the tips and new leaves protected they might handle the heat better once they get more mature.

Yes that is due to the intense sun. I have got the same thing...each plant is different. My 1625 doesnt wilt in full sun at all, yet another plant burns easily and needs covering...TLC. You can tell which plants have a great root system and those that are slower on the roots. Its those great root system plants that are great pollinators...

Well it looks like you guys were all right. It was from the sun. I covered it with a chair and sheet and the next leaves look great. and put on about 2 feet of growth. The leaves that got burned are rebounding but definitely were burned. Have some hot temps coming again next week so I will keep an eye on this plant. Thanks to Tennessee dreamer and Bart for emailing me too.
