In my experience, I'd be wary about polling one after another on the same vine. If I pollinated 6 on the same plant last year (one on a side and 5 in a short length of main) because it was an experiment and only the first one I poll'd remained, that tells me that the plant decided to only keep the first one, based upon what the plant 'felt' it could handle. Also, 2-3 subsequent fruits in '20 on the same vine aborted to enable the keeping of the later one(s). It was a secondary and the experiment went very well. Joel Holland only ever poll'd main vine fruits butt he had like 6-10+ plants, as do I and many more. Last year was main-vine-only and I lost one due to malnutrition - a second attempt resulted in a mere-butt-miraculous 379, butt I made good use of it. Best year ever in 5 years with main vine-onlies, lol. Just things to think about and if the angle of this one is a concern, the leaf can be used to crank the vine toward us and eventually be cut away. In summation, go with what looks best to you and if the second one is decrepit, I'd def stick with the first one only, here. Good Luck! Great Diary Storm Chaser 'footage' as well! eg

I think you are right with that! My gut tells me that the first pumpkin will get a pretty quick "sink' and the second one will not want to do much with the first one before it at 22.5 feet so to will be interesting! Took that measurement today to get an accurate measurement. Just got 2 inches of rain over the last few days so the plant is picking up some steam!
