I thought I spread the soil and mulch evenly here but its apparent that there are stark differences... a good zone on the outside and a bad zone in the middle. If I was going to test this soil I'd probably test the bad zone. I can guess it just needs calcium, nitrogen, and maybe sulfer. Not against soil testing but I'll just see what causes a growth response rather than spending $60.
