Congratulations on the save! Keep it dry and that fan blowing! any spot that doesn't dry up you may have to carve out some more.

Just my Nick-nickel's worth but for reference for next time, maybe:
No one has ever said that they've done what I do which is to use 1-2 TBSP Clorox in a gallon of H2O and spray that as a disinfectant, and that sucks, butt that's life. Peroxide may disinfect for a few minutes butt then turns into water; Clorox will, IMHO, remain a disinfectant for longer and as Long as it smells like it, it is doing its job.
Google:
how long does hydrogen peroxide remain effective on the infected area?
how long does Clorox remain effective on the infected area?
..almost LOL, I could not get a good reply to the Clorox question, and that's because it's
ME trying to make a suggestion, lol. Honestly, I went pretty far in my titles to get it to
give an answer. Nope. I think treating it as a wound is gonna be the next phase of it, and I'll be the first to go ahead and try crazy things (Like Spray*Seal on a BES?)...even so far as Neosporin or any bactericidal product on that or my own StemEctomy, which could be applied often and wiped away before the weighoff.
I realize it's getting close for you.
Great fruit and wound work, though!

I had this happen to me 3 yrs ago, 5 weeks before weigh off and was able to save it. Tried many things but what worked in the end was high air flow, and 10% bleach spray daily. Dry is key, the peroxide added water and made it worse. Neosporin sealed in moisture and made it rot, don't do that. Just keep it dry with good air flow and you should be good.

Keep checking the bottom all the way around and spray a couple time's a week all the way around the bottom.

I can't move my patch living in the city so I deal with disease every year somewhere in the patch and that's with rotating 7 or 8 different modes of action every 10 day sarting at day 1 when I plant. lol
