I am not sure what to think about this one. If you see a picture of a very pretty pumpkin then should the seeds that grew it contain a disclaimer... 'took xyz number of hours to polish this pumpkin'?

Without a disclaimer, it seems to add a burden to the growers, as then how do you choose seeds that dont require this extra task...?

It’s pretty easy to tell when a pumpkin is polished. You can also make them look much better taking pics in the evening vs open sun. Would you require a disclaimer on time of day too?

Sticking with the analogies would you take a dirty car to a car show? Why would you spend 140 days growing something and not the extra 20 minutes to clean and polish it? are we arguing just for the sake of arguing? I don’t get it.

I am going to do like I always do. Use water and a rag to wash the dirt, fungicide, bird poop and bug spit off the pumpkin, let it dry and spend some time with a dry soft cloth to buff it to a decent shine. You aren't adding a thing to the pumpkin.

Alright. Dont know why I am never on the same page as everyone else. I am sure some folks would like it to be 'au naturel'. Burning my dinner guess I have other things I should worry about:)

As long as you are not adding anything to the kin I am sure nobody (reasonable) would have a problem with it.
