Anyone know how to get ahold of some seeds from this beauty. Will you have it in your auction? What was your favorite HD grown in 2018?

The St.Croix growers have aa set of seeds available that include the 1576.5 Lariviere. For $40 you get 2 seeds each of the 1211 Ailts, 1157 Zaychkowsky and the 1576.5 Lariviere. There seeds are going to possibly be part of a genetic breeding program to get a consistant big and orange pumpkin. How to order them is on the St Croix growers web page.

Go to links tab on Big Pumpkins.com. Scroll down until you see the St Croix Growers. Click on it and it will take you to their home page. click on the Seeds tab. Select Premium collections. Under Premium collections click on the Big, Bright, and Beautiful Orange selection an you will find all three seeds are in that collection.

i would like to see a top 10 every year. We need to turn all the hd winners in to the gpc and they go threw them all and pick a top to for hd each year. If there is a way to see them this way already please let me know>

A situation like this reminds me of something my wife's Dean told her one day when suggesting something innovative. He said, "The problem with great ideas, is finding someone to carry them out."

In the past, Jim Gerhardt has compiled a diary for HD winners. Nothing official, just something he did to help the community. I didn't see one this year, so he must be busy putting family first with that little tyke, which I fully understand. Check previous years on the diary page and you should find a ton of HD's compiled together already.

Shannon initiated the first ever HD x HD contest this year in Stillwater, as a live version of what you are suggesting. The only problem with this (for me anyways) is physical location, but is even more interesting than pictures to me.

There are people who are trying to improve the exposure of the pretty ones, but it is an incredible effort behind the scenes to gather everything and everyone for submissions. Additionally, if it is popular, it becomes a yearly commitment which can become tiresome if the position doesn't rotate to anyone else.

Try posting an offer to help compile the list for this upcoming season, and you may get a few responses from the ones already spearheading the effort :)

i want in! i would just to see a top 10 just as we see the top ten big boys. I do like a weigh off at the end of the year and then all the hd winners from the USA meet in a central location. I would do it with phots have all contest send 3 but you have to win and hd award you would not just be able to enter unless you won a hd that year. just ideas.

The problem with pictures to judge. Is that they are very subjective. My 673 was a deep red orange. Sadly it lost some of that and produces a nice orange now.

Sorry I couldn’t get to the Howard dill club diary this year. Like Dustin said, too much going on with family and work for me and still is. If anyone is interested in doing it for 2019, send me an email and I’ll get you the password. One of the perks is that you will get all of the contact info of the best orange growers of the year since they all will come direct to you! JamesjGerhardt at yahoo
