Weigh-off details:
•All entries must arrive at Gale Woods Farm by 10:00 a.m.
•All large pumpkins and squash must be on pallets for loading/unloading with fork lift.

Prize structure:
Pumpkins (includes squash)
1st - $1,000
2nd - $800
3rd- $600
4th - $500
5th - $400
6th - $300
7th - $200
8th - $100
9th - $100
10th -$100

Howard Dill Award - $100

Largest Tomato - $50 True Value gift card
Largest Watermelon - $50 True Value gift card
Largest Field Pumpkin -$50 True Value gift card
Longest Long Gourd - $50 True Value gift card

I am really looking forward to coming out of hiding for this weigh-off. Should be a beautiful site and low stress. Time for growers to enjoy. I haven't decided which pumpkin to bring, whatever i choose will probably be small. I will also bring a tomato...even if it is one that weighs 1/2 pound. I hope to see all the Minnesota growers there, and hopefully a few from other states...lets have fun at this one.

I plan on bringing my pumpkin there as well. It's nice to have a weigh off closer to me than Stillwater. I hope to finally meet you there Bob, if we both make it. I hope the turn out is good as well. That's a nice prize structure IMO.

Tom has done a great job transitioning the weigh off from Apple Jack's Orchard to the Gale Woods Farm location .. As always we are looking for some seasoned pro's to assist with the Weighing, Taping, Judging and Traffic control . This is also an official GPC site.... SO, Any and all Fruit from Iowa will be penalized 200 pounds ... lol
