Yet another newbie here ! New to these giant of the giant tomatoes ! I’m ahead of schedules ! So I have six Domingo varieties all ending with a big bud on the very top , ending the leaf growth, so I would expect new growth of the main to pop out of one of the upper leaf nodes , would that be correct ,And from there keep the bigger main ?

Sometimes there is no clear leader at the growth apex. In same boat here you can let a good side develop. Or let the plant figure it out but you should have a dozen growth points to work with and if you want energy for the first truss then reduce to only 1, 2, or 3 growth points. My plant had zero growth points but one popped out recently and I am leaving it.

Sounds good ! Have 8 to 10 leaves and sides coming out fast now ! On the 6 different plants , pinched a couple lower ones off already will find one or two to keep toward the top ! And or let the very top of plant figure it out ! Thanks

Hey pork chop thanks ! Hope u don’t mind I got a few of your seeds from a good friend of mine ! The 6.55 Domingo they are looking beautiful ! 8 or 9 leaves on them with a nice young megabloom on top ! Probably a little early for them but we will see ? Nice stocky plants have two of them ! Do you think I will get more megas higher up on the plants ? Hard to see if the plant ends at the bud or not ! Will let a top secondary go to become the main if it ends there ! God plants are only 4 weeks old and I’m surprised by megablooms already ! I started them with a pot growing meadium and t5 grow lights and off to the races! Wow and ps congrats on your Wr awesome !
