Am interested in growing this seed... Happy to make a modest donation to cover shipping and/or trade for a good pumpkin seed.
Thx...

I'm going to be growing this seed this year for a breeding cross, happy to do a controlled self pollination too and share seed from any offspring.

I only have a few of the 8.07 myself from an auction, but grew it's 4.22 parent - a super aggressive plant (tho it's the first mega marv I've grown) that makes me think it'll be a good cross.

The 4.22 had a late megabloom last season for me that didn't come to too much, and ripened at too immature a stage for any seeds to be present.

Well, the Domingoes have been good to me but... let me know when the latest version of Frankenstein's monster is ready to be set loose. The 9.65 is intimidating me, gonna take a real monster to dethrone King Wilson.

I bet you’ll see a few out there give king Wilson the “what for” this year ....wont be with a big zac though....t-minus 84 days

Might not be a BZ but it could be a new hybrid?

Karma may have BZ set the new record now that Porkchop said it won't.

Lol...maybe wile...and yea marv, could be one of the new hybrids...either way...I wonder how long people grew the big max pumpkins when the AG’s started taking off...?....9+ lbs two years in a row?...helllllooooooo!!...I talk a little bit about in my presentation for Las Vegas ....winter sucks

Winter does not suck, it is just a lot harder than summer growing. For some reason, I think a Big Zac is going to be the biggest grown this winter. The variety of choice has gone from Delicious, to Big Zac, to Domingo. For some reason, I have had trouble with the Domingo variety. Many crosses are showing potential. Only a matter of time before the Domingo is dethroned. I too would be interested in 8.07 genetics. I thought it was a Big Zac before this winter. A megamarv growing over 8 definitely puts it into the elite varieties. The future of tomato growing is interesting.

I didnt read that as an attack on winter growing. Wish I could go to Vegas... hope its a good trip and I hope to grow some big tomatoes just want to see if (in my garden this year) anything can outgrow the domingoes.

I didn't read it as an attack on winter growing...I read it as an attack on winter without growing. I don't know why I have trouble with every Domingo I try. I cant even get them to sprout. I run about 10% germination on the Domingo's and 95% on everything else. After they have sprouted, it has been downhill from there. Crosses have been best for me, followed by Big Zac and then Delicious. I think in the past 5 years, I have put only one Domingo on a scale.

Porkchop, I'm glad you didn't make fun of Karma. Karma could push you off a ladder or down the stairs as punishment.

Maybe Frostbite might really bring a 12 pound BZ to Gale Woods this year.

I did do a test on both of by seeds the big wixom and 6.23 Domingo and had good germination results on my second try ! For some reason i can't get tomato or pepper seeds to germinate when i use a heating mat ? I can get larger seeds to germinate like pumpkin squash cucumbers etc... With the heating mat but not the small seeds like tomato and peppers ? I have my best luck using a florescent lamp only 1 to 2 inches above the soil to germinate tomato and pepper seeds. The florescent light is cool only radiates about 80° and heats from above and not below ? I don't know why their is a difference but this works for me ?

I have the same issue. I have had them not germinate with a mat under, moved to direct light with some sprouting and then moved outside with warming sun in a plastic greenhouse and would sprout weeks later. Strange.

I've always had pretty good luck starting tomato seeds in a paper pot w/starting soil on a heating mat.

I use light as my heat source and I like to use plastic tray covers so the moisture stays constant for a few days but I take them off in a few days if left under plastic covers when they come up they can get leggy and weak. Ive not noticed any differences in germination. Unlike onions and lettuce the weakest ones have potential... The year before last my weakest seedling turn into the best plant.
