I am not certain where Porkchop is hiding but if we are going to have an Annual Tomato Challenge growers will have to let Porkchop know they are desiring to be in the contest. In order to really sign up it is necessary that you not only put forth your name but attach to it your Personal Best so that when the teams are put together by hopefully Porkchop, it will be fair to all. Porkchop, if he still wants to run the contest, will then team the growers up based on their PB so as to make it fair. Other than weights, I am not certain how he decided who would be where, maybe three hats with A, B and C growers in different hats. A deadline will need to be decided for sign-up. Whether there will be more than three growers on a team to make up for any growers dropping out along the way or just not honoring their commitment will also have to be decided. I am simply trying to get this thing started. I am hopeful that no one will take this as interfering in the contest in any way. Whatever happens as we go along, there has to be a start. Porkchop, please jump in. This was your idea to begin with and you did a good job of starting and running it last year.

Most of us will start their seeds only 3 weeks before planting outside. Only 2-3 true leaves is best.

I grew a 4.05 pound mega mutt in a 20 gallon pot last year with Miracle Grow Stuff. I'll be growing in 20 gallon pots again this year but I will be using the real good fertilizers.

Saberonyx, I can send you my special soil ingredient this year for growing in a 20 gallon pot if you want to try it. Not Miracle Grow stuff. I have to keep the peace with the neighbors just like you. What's your email?
