Bigger tomatoes generally have more seeds, right? And how many seeds is usually expected? I think I did very well on the 5.04 looks like 500+ seeds but Anna’s 5.01 was around 150 seeds. Interested to know what you are finding in yours.

I get around 400-500 seeds on average with any size tomato ! Size doesn't seem to make a difference for me !

Expect 0 to 1 per Domingo? The germination chamber worked well for ripening the late season green tomatoes. I will count what I got soon looks like no shortage....

Yes, have grown Domingo's one way or another the last 3 years. Always no seeds, small tomatoes, and usually never ripen on the vine. They are lacklng something they need. Plants are the very best of n the garden.

After this summer...and all the tomatoes I harvested, I think that seeds from any tomato could very from 20 to a few hundred+. Size of the tomato was not an indication. I had some big ones that had few seeds and some small ones that had many. Overall...my tomatoes that were mega's over 4 pounds had more seeds than the average single. But not as much of a difference as I expected.

Hoping next year to just harvest a few from my best plants....growing for seeds is no fun.

How many seeds in a tomato also depends on how well pollinated the ovules were. Pollinated ovules are what urn into seeds. You have for sure noted the variability of the number of seeds in the crosses you have tried to make. Not well pollinated, few seeds. It amazes me that each little piece of corn on the cob had to be pollinated as each one is a seed. Open spaces on the cob are from poor pollination.

I have noticed this year that many of my giants did not have many seeds.
My eating maters seemed to have just as many as ever.
