            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | trying to get the humidity up and wondering should I mist the newly grafted plant? Water getting on the graft could either help it or hurt it?? | 4/18/2020 3:29:56 AM |

            | big moon | Bethlehem CT | it is ok to spray the plant with mist. It really helps it to heal. | 4/18/2020 9:13:01 AM |

            | jlindley | NE Arkansas | Misting won't hurt anything. It needs to be in 100% humidity. | 4/21/2020 11:32:47 AM |

            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | I may have to try again next year. I fully respect watermelon growers now. I have grafted fruit trees and a tomato... You guys rock... | 4/21/2020 12:53:08 PM |

            | big moon | Bethlehem CT | It is definitely the hardest species to graft that I have done too. Grafting is like handwriting, you sort of form a style that works for you. Others may have a different style or technique. You learn the feel of it, by trial and error. Providing a good environment to heal in is as crucial as the graft itself. | 4/21/2020 2:30:18 PM |

            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | I have one that may have taken out of seven. I am sure it gets easier still at the trial-and-error level. Might take me a few seasons to get competent. | 4/21/2020 3:04:08 PM |

            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | I actually got three to take. Using a spray bottle was an important part of reviving the ones that werent grafted very well. | 5/11/2020 1:18:26 AM |
