            | Milan L | Winnipeg, Manitoba | Is the germination process for giant watermelons really different from giant pumpkins? What pot size do growers tend to use? | 11/10/2018 11:49:02 AM |

            | Smoky Mtn Pumpkin (Team GWG) | sevierville, Tn | Biggest difference is the tempreture, they like it hotter at 90-95 | 11/10/2018 7:56:10 PM |

            | ESheel31(team sLamMer) | Eastern Shore of VA | I start in 3 inch peat pots or plastic cups. When the cots appear I transplant up to a 3 gallon container.
I wait until the main starts to lay down,(usually about a foot long) and then plant out in the garden.
 Some plant out sooner.

            | Iowegian | Anamosa, IA [email protected] | My problem has always been the watermelon seedlings getting long and spindly. Even when I grow them with the exact same lighting and temperature as AG's, field pumpkins and long gourds that grow just fine. I have heard that you need to get them to cooler temps once they sprout. Will that help? | 11/11/2018 1:37:07 PM |

            | Smoky Mtn Pumpkin (Team GWG) | sevierville, Tn | yes temps of 75-80 are good, or outside in the sun, also if you use flourecent lights, put the light like 1 inch from the plant. | 11/11/2018 4:03:26 PM |

            | jlindley | NE Arkansas | The watermelon seedlings need a stronger light than pumpkins or like Chris said with t5's put them very close. You should remove bottom heat once they germ too. | 11/13/2018 9:48:51 AM |
