            | Wolfpack83 | central Nc | Stem has turned brown and brittle and I need 2 more weeks. How much weight do these lose off the vine daily? Should I leave it or bring it into the A/C? This is my first and only for the year so really want to make it to the weigh off. | 9/25/2018 9:24:25 PM |

            | Smoky Mtn Pumpkin (Team GWG) | sevierville, Tn | ac is better, but don't put on concrete. they loose very little in a 75 degree air. like 1-2 lbs a week max. | 9/26/2018 6:41:39 AM |

            | big moon | Bethlehem CT | Chris do you wash yours down or put a little fungicide on it after harvest? | 9/26/2018 7:34:23 AM |

            | big moon | Bethlehem CT | The reason I ask is I lost my biggest three melons Postharvest to rot. The biggest one was supposed to go to Durham. It was picked two weeks ago and sitting outside on a pallet. I went to load yesterday and stuck my hand right into it. THe rot was around the stem. I am wondering if I could have done anything different or was it inevitable. | 9/26/2018 7:37:40 AM |

            | jlindley | NE Arkansas | You can always wipe them down with 1/10th bleach water to clean then and remove most bad stuff

            | ESheel31(team sLamMer) | Eastern Shore of VA | I’ve heard of wiping down with disposable Clorox wipes. | 9/26/2018 8:18:05 PM |

            | ESheel31(team sLamMer) | Eastern Shore of VA | Same concept as what Jeremy said. | 9/26/2018 8:18:26 PM |

            | Smoky Mtn Pumpkin (Team GWG) | sevierville, Tn | i don't wash them as they go right to a weighoff. But if there was an issue i'm sure it wouldn't hurt to do so.never had one go bad unless it already was that way when picked.

            | jlindley | NE Arkansas | The years we grow commercial pumpkins we have a 10 gallon tote we dip each one in and let dry with a gallon of bleach and 9 gallons of water and our customers say they last longer. | 9/27/2018 11:54:41 AM |
