            | jsterry | East Tennessee | Whats the better paying weigh offs up north for watermelons??? | 9/14/2018 6:18:59 PM |

            | jlindley | NE Arkansas | Always wondered this... I'd like to carry a melon up north or out west... Who's game for a road trip? | 9/16/2018 9:56:15 PM |

            | big moon | Bethlehem CT | Nothing in the Northeast really pays much for melons, (That I am aware of)The Durham Fair pays 150 for first, 100 for second 50 for third. I am psyched they pay that much. For a few years I brought melons when there was no cash prize at all.
What's the name of that big weigh off in Ohio. I believe that is where Chris Kent brought his world record. I would imagine they pay pretty well.

            | wile coyote | On a cliff in the desert | Check out Stillwater's prize list. Watermelon's aren't the best but if you bring a 1000+ pumpkin with you, it could make it worth your while. | 9/17/2018 9:33:01 AM |

            | bnot | Oak Grove, Mn | wile...I think you need to reread the stillwater prize list...it is not a 1000 pounds that pays...it is 1500 pounds that pays $1000 bonus. I think Hamilton might be the furthest northern weighoff that pays big money for watermelons. Maybe next year I will not grow pumpkins and try my hand at watermelons...I know I have a collection of best seeds. Road trip south sounds fun. | 9/17/2018 8:05:44 PM |
