            | Sheriff | Bloomfield, Iowa | With the melons in the upper 200 to 300 lb range what size of lifting tarp would you recommend for our weigh off event? | 9/14/2018 11:33:48 AM |

            | Barbeetoo | SW Ohio | With too large of a tarp you are lifting above your waist and thats not comfortable. Too small pinches the lifters hands between the lift holes and the melon. 2x4 is the size I bought. I will let you know more tomorrow after mine is lifted what my hubby thinks about this new size. | 9/14/2018 11:41:59 AM |

            | Sheriff | Bloomfield, Iowa | Ok thanks. Good luck! | 9/14/2018 12:18:53 PM |

            | jlindley | NE Arkansas | I think we need a 3 x 4 or 2.5 x 3.5 for the melons close to 300, 4 x 4 makes you lift too high like Sue said

            | jlindley | NE Arkansas | that should say 2.5 x 4.5 | 9/14/2018 1:28:36 PM |

            | Sheriff | Bloomfield, Iowa | Does P and P Seeds have that size Jeremy or where do you get one that size? | 9/14/2018 1:48:57 PM |

            | ESheel31(team sLamMer) | Eastern Shore of VA | Now kind you I’m no heavy hitter.I hit a navy surplus in my area and bought a foldable corpsman stretcher.
 15 bucks.
 32 inches by 64 inches.
 600 pounds weight.
Folds like a blanket with heavy Tyvek material.
Worked well on a 180 without pinching hands.

            | HankH | Partlow,Va | I'm glad to see this thread. I am making some this weekend. Just got the material in. I was thinking if you have a 2'wide X 3'long melon 40" X 44" would be a good size to keep your knuckles off the melon. What do ya'll think that have been growing big ones a lot longer than me?

Sheriff....the only lifters I could find anywhere online were at P&P, They were 2'X 4'. So I figured I would just make the size I wanted...borrowing the use of a sewing machine and I hope I do not sew any of my fingers to it!!!

            | Barbeetoo | SW Ohio | At Ky weigh off Saturday it appeared that the lifters preferred the 2x4 melon tarps. Thought I would update you | 9/17/2018 10:12:19 AM |
