i had 3 seeds germinate almost 48 hr ago, i put them in soil, my question is what are good temps and amount of water is needed to get them to break out of the soil. seem like it would of happened by now. all 3 seed had good root tip and u could make out both cot leaves in the shell of seed. they are under light and holding about 82 degrees rightnow. im really unsure of the proper amount of water as well, im trying to just keep the soil some what damp. any advice will be appreciated, thank u

I would raise the temp up about another 10 degrees. Water moderately if you are providing good drainage.

The cooler your soil temperature the less moisture your seedlings will need. Cool and wet often equals death to young seedlings. It is called damping off.But watermelon plants can actually be grown in a water based nutrient solution with no soil. We know this as hydroponics. The solution is in continual motion in order to provide the roots the oxygen they need. Water will damage or kill plant roots when it surrounds roots and keeps them from breathing.
