Gosh what's everyone doing about water this year? With the fires and drought here, just wondering. A well is limited to 7k gallons a year for any irrigation.

We're soaked to infinity here. 7k is enough to grow some cacti. Well, maybe one big pumpkin.

Good question regarding water supply during these crazy weather extremes. I see some growers using tanks, barrels, etc. to capture any run off from buildings, but other than that mercy of weather. We went through a historic drought here last growing season worst ever! Adding any moisture holding amendments such as peat moss and manure would help some. Good luck.

We had a historic drought last year, as Danny mentioned. Luckily, we have a large pond and a stream that goes around our property. I don’t know how it didn’t dry up last year.

PS- to improve/ aid in water retention, I want to get a few 1000 litre water totes but they are quite pricey here. Going for $200 on average I’m looking for something cheaper.
