The Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers regrets to inform the community that we lost a longtime friend and grower Steve Razo. For the fortunate one that got to know Steve at the GPC seminars , a cruise or maybe a Rhode Island road trip, he will be missed. Alway had a grin, a smart remark or an insightful conversation. His achievements included GPC winning entries in squash and a world record field pumpkin if I remember correctly. He also served on the Ohio Valley board furthering our mission. Our Sympathies to the family.

Sorry to hear this Tim but thanks for sharing. Steve goes way back of course remember the days when just the phone and/or mail was the option regarding pumpkins. We were glad to finally meet him one of the years at a Niagara convention and something tells me Steve had the green jacket during one of them. Great to see him win the GPC heaviest field pumpkin not long ago! Our sincere condolences to his family, friends and Ohio growers. The Dill Family.

So sorry to hear the news. Condolences to his family. I remember the road trip that the Ohio gang (Jerry Tim Quin Dave and Steve) made 20 years ago to Ronnie’s place. Insightful visit by pumpkin royalty. RIP my friend.
