I came across a picture of walking shoes http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=162210. I love it so much. I have these old sneakers that are basically ready for retirement, but I’m all about that Bigfoot design. Seriously, these shoes are the perfect mix of “I’m a professional giant pumpkin grower” and “I may or may not have been spotted in the woods.”. They would be fun to use in the snow during winter making a sasquatch path too. Adding this to my list of things to do..

I have done a similar thing but I attached only the toe end to the wood with 2 short round-headed bolts through the soles of each shoe. This allows me to walk with a more normal stride instead of 'clomping' around the patch. Don't have the cute footprint though.

I personally could not do that, too used to my own feet and I would break vines daily with the additional width. I like walking boards as they are in one spot the entire season and only that spot gets pressed down.
  For snow.... yes, go sasquatch.
