How many sites have made the decision to proceed with their weigh-offs this year so far. I spoke with Larry Checkon and PGPGA plans on proceeding. It might not be at the same location, but most likely will be. Sams Club is the clubs usual site. They supply the fork lifts and space. The specifics of the weigh-off have not yet been determined such as whether small pumpkins will be weighed, how many per person, schedule, prizes etc. Stay tuned. Any other sites going ahead?

Marv,

The GPC will be posting on the weigh offs and a change of venue criteria here soon. Any grower can go out to the GPC site now and see all the weigh offs scheduled. Over 100+.

We cont have any weigh offs scheduled in June or July, so lets be patient. GPC has reached out to those sites still sitting on the fence and not registered. At this point their only option will be the 100$ Non Awards package deadline for registering is June 15th. This package is only available to previous weigh off sites. There will be no personal/individual 100$ sign up available for a back yard. Work with your weigh off site coordinators to make it happen.

So if the weigh off is not listed, does that mean they didn't register? Or possibly just not paid yet? I was told 1 was still on, but it's not listed

SCGA Members-

Yesterday I spoke to the organizers/sponsors of Harvestfest and am excited to report that everyone involved is presently committed to having an event. The crew is submitting applications and moving forward as normal. We do not know at this time exactly what Harvestfest will look like, only that the ball is rolling in that direction. Contingency plans B & C are also being discussed such that one way or another, pumpkins will be weighed in October. Happy Growing!
