Hi all,

My plant decided to have a little pumpkin quite early. About 7 leaves from the root.... Should I remove this flower "in progress" or is it possible this is the one...?

the general rule is no closer than 10 feet from the 'stump', BUT the WR 1725 Harp was grown at 9 feet AND SELFED, LOL, i do believe - so, going by THAT, perhaps use the early bird as an example to marvel at, but you will see others a few feet later and then, 'which one should i keep of the 2 or 3 i have now?' lol---pollinate if you wish, and later a (better?) one or several will come along, i do believe---eg

it is a wonder, though whether or not pollinating triggers MORE females to show up or not - i think they show up where they are going to, regardless of what we do - a plant's purpose is to THRIVE and PRODUCE, so, it's probably gonna devote more attention to what WE point it to - it is our job to focus the plant, not the other weigh around.---eg

Way too soon.Let your plant grow for at least two more weeks before you set one on.

Thanks all for the advice.

Either way, I would need to have blooming male flowers to even pollinate it...
