Similar to a recent post, I'm having a hard time deciding which to cull. 2183 Paton (1911 Ureña x 1875 Mendi) has stronger secondaries and is more compact. The 1462 Podraza (2416 Haist x self) is slightly more leggy but the plants are a similar overall size and vigor. Any thoughts welcome.

Decision time is always difficult! When you have two plants that you really like and they both look green i just flip a coin!

Go with your gut, as much as you say both plants are equal and they are the same, one has to have a slightly higher value to you at this stage... almost like a bias towards a favorite.

I can’t help you personally cause you know the plants unlike anyone else does on here.

Deed is done. The 2183 Paton got the axe. I have another one in another patch so it is not such a loss. Interested to see if the 1462 Podraza lives up to the reputation of its parent (2416).

Oh Boy, pressures on for my baby to perform!
I hope it does well for you.
I spent the afternoon trying to protect from high winds, rain and hail and ended up staking up all the bent/cracked leaves on my 832.

We totally understand, you have to pick what you think is correct on the day.

Ian and Stuart, we still have another 2183 in the patch and it is doing well. The one we pulled was really just a back up to be begin with. Thanks for your understanding.
