I'm inclined to agree with Shannon, but Mother Nature can be very unpredictable. Personally, I'm hoping they sprout. Keep us posted.

i'm glad you tried a few rather than all - perhaps you'll have a chance to try several methods of sprouting, such as, next, actual seed-starting mix in a peat pot. good luck---eg

I sprouted a bunch of corn seeds from 1980 this year. Germination rates varied by variety. 91% to 40%. 0% on pumpkin seeds older than 1985. Paper towel method on all. Good luck.
