I’m growing pumpkins but regular field variety’s. Not for size but just for fun. So I’ve prepped my soil. Lots of manure and organic fertilizer. The plants are a about 3 weeks old. What should I do for feeding maintenance and when. Right now it’s hot. Like 108 out today. But it’s been like that for a few days now. They are shaded like I was told. So there hanging in there. I don’t want them to go south but I want them fully healthy. Advice? I also was told to mist but I don’t want any mildew to get started. I have two beds now and maybe I’ll just mist one for experimenting

I think mildew likes cloudy weather and you dont have that. But if it was an issue there are many products that can help. I dont have any specific recommendations but with good nutrient levels and siliciates and calcium I dont really expect you have much to worry about.

The monsoons are here but I probably shouldn’t have the mildew problem. But should I foliar feed right now?

If you want to be on the safe side, feed in the evening if u want... then wash or mist it off/ overhead irrigate in the morning. You dont want the wrong fertilizer salts+ dry heat your leaves will be toast.

Have you actually done a soil test..If not you are just guessing and salting your food before you taste it. If you are worried about mildew apply a fungicede
