Michigan Giant Pumpkin Growers
Annual Summer Patch Tour
As many of you know the Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers changed it up a little this year and decided to forgo our summer tour so we could join the fun and see some Michigan Giant Pumpkin Growers’ patches.
We have long enjoyed many close relationships with the Michigan Growers and are looking forward to the fun!
It just so happens that our tour will be very close to FourStar Greenhouses. These are the folks behind all of the Proven Winners plant branding and breeding we see nationwide.
    That said, I have arranged a tour of their 2 acre display gardens, where many of the new 2020 introductions will be showcased. We also will have the opportunity to tour their very high-tech, state of the art greenhouse and 15-20 acre growing facilities as well that day. This event will be open to all and will take place Friday 7/26 before the patch tour begins.
    Our tentative schedule for Friday 7/26 is as follows:

John and Joy Kaminski have graciously volunteered to host a Friday night barbeque at their home, as they live close by. Sounds like a great opportunity to have some extra time together to visit!

Our idea, for convenience, is make a reservation at the Woodhaven MI Holiday Inn Friday night, then book a room Saturday night in Dundee by Cabela’s, as that is closer to the the last stop on the patch tour Saturday evening.
This may well be “The Pumpkin Event” of the summer and you don’t want to miss it! Please let me know if you plan on attending the Friday tours so we know how much lunch and dinner to plan for! Thanks—
