I was doing a little vine burying last night, and cut a smaller secondary off(just after the first leaf on it and about 2 foot away from the stump). It was a double secondary in that spot. When I cut it the vine was bright blue, almost like when you see people dye pond water.

Has anyone ever seen this???
It's new to me.
Is it because of the Ferts I'm using? Triple 12
Or am I in for something catastrophic in the garden this year?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Well, I feel like an idiot, my brain doesn't always work at 100% with a 6 week old boy at home now. You were right baitman, there was 1 little speck of blue tracer dye on my knife I never saw which turned the vine blue. thanks for the input though.

Don't worry about it Tootall. After many years of growing these pumpkins I can see failure at every turn. Ex. I walk by the plant and I see a week secondary that is wilting a little. My first thought is my season is done, YVD again! That is normal pumpkin anxiety!
