When should all the secondary vines usually be terminated? Early July, mid-August, early September? I know the time period varies, but when should they FOR SURE be all terminated? thanks

Yes, you'll get all kinds of answers here. I know guys that do very well terminating everything by the end of July, I also know guys that grow massive pumpkins that terminate their last secondary the 2nd and 3rd week in September ( these guys have grown 2000 or better ) I terminate the last couple secondaries the end of August.
I'm actually terminating those secondaries over the next few days because I'm out of room.

I have heard and do leave something growing till the pumpkins are removed. Not that I was in risk of running out of room! I get PM and need younger leaves in the late season. Some think terminating everything tells the plant to shut down. I am just trying to learn to keep a plant healthy through late season.

Some people term secondaries so they don't go longer than 15 feet.
