I just noticed a split on my stem close to vine...put sulfur on it & rubber hosing to keep dry...any chance it could survive? No possibility of moving it. Can it survive if the vine is lost going away from fruit but still intact from other stump end? 😖

It can definitely still survive. I have grown many to maturity after a stem split occurs. The most important thing is that you need to make sure it doesn't start to rot in the split. A fan, plus a concentrated fungicide like sulfur or Daconil should help.. Before you spend a lot of time with it, you need to determine if the split goes into the cavity or not. You can stick a piece of straw or a crabgrass stem into the split. If it hits flesh in all spots you are good.. If it goes in with no resistance, it is done.
