I’m sure your products are good I think the real problem here is this is not legal in Washington state. The legislature permits two out of three gambling definitions but you have got all three here. Bummer.

This is not a pay for ticket raffle, have done it in the past with no problem, geez. This is a long winter!

ML JH... Can you think of a different way to set up the raffle? The way it is right now it’s not legal.

We have a great community of growers who like to have fun and who are very interested in your products... please reach out to the community for ideas on how to have a fun promotional give-away. Legally, for profit businesses can’t have games of chance where a purchase is necessary. Sorry!!!

if you read it right its not a raffle, its a free bonus to get some seeds. that's how I read it. you spend 50 dollars you get a ticket with your name on it.

That's how I read it to, a "fun promotional give-away" to the lucky person or persons, who buy there products.

He is not selling raffle tickets so I see no problem. You are getting a chance for bonus product ( seeds) when you order his products.
Agree it's getting to be a long winter on here.

Yea this is great, if this is the illegal there’s something messed up with your state.... I watch people piss away dollar after dollar after dollar on these lottery games at they have a one in 10 trillion chance of winning... all this is ...is we need product anyways and we might get a little bonus with. I see much more wrong with the first picture then the second. I suppose you can’t play Texas hold’em with friends and do a $25 buy in???? Like I said great idea!!!

You guys are kidding me right? Joel is highly competent. If he wants to promote his business he can do so legally. Showing pictures of his smaller (but maybe very good crosses) would help. Raffles are legal for clubs and non-profits like the gpc. They are illegal for businesses in the manner (clearly described!!!!) here, where a purchase is necessary to enter.

To let this continue is a unfair to the clubs and gpc and the other businesses lawfully trying to promote themselves on here. It’s wrong. It’s illegal. And up till now I’ve been pointing it out in the nicest way that I possibly can.

I’m sorry for downing u guys. This the end of this raffle. Holland’s can come up with a different & better idea.

I agree Farmer Brown. The state should not be making money off the very things it makes illegal for anyone else. Total hypocrisy.

lol, Glenomkins is Blossomdownster, great job logging in under name 2 to support yourself. Stop being a downer and let Holland have their drawing.

It’s like Finkle is Einhorn all over again.

Well that escalated quickly....

I have a few online sports bets on the Super Bowl tonight, but I don't expect the FBI or gaming commission to be at my house tomorrow. Although if they do I'll know who sent them, lol.

If you research and quote state statutes to try to stop someone from giving away 3 free pumpkin seeds, you have WAY too much time on your hands.

Saying it's unfair to clubs and GPC is a complete joke. Joel and growers like him getting their seeds into the hands of others for free or drastically below cost (2363) is what keeps the GPC and clubs going. You are causing issues over the wording of it. Hopefully Joel still is willing to give away a few "customer appreciation gifts" randomly.

Can't wait to see how Joel's blossom down entry turns out.

I respect Joel... maybe that’s why I was bothered by this post. Anyhow I love that this site lets everyone express their opinions. The opinions Yes Joel and Mary Lou have been kind to me, and if they feel like I am attacking them personally then that’s my bad.

I seem to be rubbing everyone the wrong way. It’s a petty technical issue, which i felt was worth pointing out, nothing more. Everyone is spot on with their criticisms of me more or less.

Let’s get back to achieving great things, like Joel.

judging by how these arguments not only START, but ESCALATE and everybody's...well, i remember how I USED to be on here and I stopped myself from saying the rest;

hey, Joel, my buddy, maybe the offer should run from now until like April 25th when everybody is anxious to plant those seeds in '18 while there's the highest incentive to do so---them're MY 2 cents, lol---eg

2/5/2018 6:13:46 AM

oh, i guess it works out better for the offering party if the offer lasts as long as possible, like a bond or treasury note, ALSO which i know nothing about, lol---continue-on----eg
