Last year I crossed a peanut pumpkin female with one of my giant pumpkin males. The peanut pumpkin grew to maturity and I collected the seeds. Any ideas what they'll grow this year?

This is great stuff! I have this issue with my peanut pumpkins and my boston marrows posted in my 2016 diary, although I didn't plan to cross them the way you mention Hobbit. The cross just happened by BEE power between our giants. Keep us posted please! The fruits I had were really sweet and I made a really tasty pie and also, several batches of pumpkin soup!! Great with my homemade bread during the cold weather!!

It is a crap shoot on a F1 hybrid. You need to cross them back with pumpkin plants that produce what you desire. We Planted Turks Turban x AG one year. We ended up with 400lb tricolor AG on some plants, and 30lb Turks Turban on others.

I did a controlled cross with Red Kuri and the Red Warty Thing squash with and Orange AG last year. I'll try them this year and let you know how they do before sending out seeds.
