I have had a Brinno time lapse garden camera for years and have had a great deal of fun with it. If it quits working I would definitely buy another one

Yes, I have the Brinno. Created a nice time lapse of my PB 1487.5 with it. Here is a link to it on YouTube:

Thanks, I'm gonna go with the brinno. What intervals do you recommend. I was thinking two pics a day???

I use a "PlantCam". They are pretty rudimentary but they work well and best of all they are low cost ($40-50 on ebay if you can find them). They do have a timer that can shut off pics at night.

I find it's better to do the most frequent pictures that your memory card can handle for the time period you want to run the time lapse. More than 2 per day for sure; you can always go back and cut out pics if you have too many. 1 per hour is usually a good compromise for multiple day stuff, but sometimes a lot happens in 15 minutes.

I usually take a pic every 15 or 30 mins its will really surprize you what a plant and frruit will do in a day

Interesting. OK, but why not go with a GoPro knockoff such as the Akaso EK7000? It does time lapse, but it also does all the things that a GoPro does for $80. I've been looking at it for time lapse as well as simply making a YouTube video once in a while.

I've never looked into go pro. But I will check it out. I'm looking for something I can mount out side and let it do its thing for months at a time

Bought my son the Akoso for Christmas. Don't think it would be good for long time time-lapse.

My video was shot one frame every 15 minutes during daylight hours. Have to secure your tripod in the patch and wipe moisture off every morning towards the end of summer.
