When bidding, please keep in mind that you are giving back to the “Giant Pumpkin Community” and that the proceeds from our auction will help fund our 2017 Weigh-Off Prize Payout and will award growers like you for their time and dollars spent in the “Pumpkin Patch”.

“5-Minute Seed Shootout” Rule – for Silent Auctions

• In an effort to make the online seed bidding experience more dramatic, exciting, and fun, we are adding the “5-Minute Seed Shootout” Rule.

*** The “5-Minute Seed Shootout” Rule – Each seed lot is scheduled to end at 8:00 p.m. EST. However, if a bid is placed on the seed lot in the last 5 minutes of the auction, the bidding for the seed lot will be extended 5 more minutes. Each subsequent (following) bid on the seed lot will extend the bidding for an additional 5 minutes. Therefore, the seed lot may end at 8:00 p.m. EST sharp or extend much later depending on the bidding circumstances.

*** Important - The closing time of the lot is not extended 5 minutes from the previous closing time, but 5 minutes from the time of the last bid. For example, if the auction is scheduled to close at 8:00 p.m., and someone places an official bid at 7:59 p.m., the auction close time is extended until 8:04 p.m. and so on. The seed lot does not officially close until 5 minutes has expired from the last official bid.
