To mail seeds Postage is now just under 10 for Canada and 13.5 any were else outside US and 2.62 in US. I have been telling people 10 for out side US by mistake when they email me. It cost me 15 dollars more to mail the 3 out side of US bubbles than what was sent to me. Part of that was my mistake and the rest was people just didn't send enough. please send enough money, and if I told you wrong that's my mistake not yours and I will make up the defrance.

Your mail company must be making a killing. We can send seeds all over the world for $1.25 (two or three seeds) or $2.50 for a whole package (less than 50 grams). Inside the country it only costs $0.73 and people here in Holland are complaining...lol

The prices have gone up as well, to ship from Canada to the USA is about 8$ Canadian this year. $20 if you want tracking.

I just received seeds from the U.S.A. and all that was on it was $2.29 . I regularly send them to the states for under $3.00
Just send them as a flat in a small bubble and if the bubble is under a certain size and , usually not even a sticker needed.
I would advise you to find some one who knows the proper system . I think if you do a site search you will find a big grower that knows this and sends them that way.

Don Young sends them to Canada for under $3.00.

Don is right. I put 5 x 8 bubbles inside of 9 x 12 envelopes. Never had any problem sending to Canada or Europe. Just send as correspondence.

Quinn is right on the 2.62 for in the US and 13.50 for outside US im unsure on Canada, I think alot of times things slip through post office especially when you send from your mailbox because some mail carriers dont care to figure it out, but do the right thing, 6 forever stamps will take care of US deliveries.

Also to the American growers sending SASBE's to Canada, don't send your return envelope with American stamps on it. They throw them out up here as the Canadian postal system uses Canadian stamps on all mail, even international.

I haven't tried the 5 x 8 inside a 9x11 yet but the two post offices close to me don't care what size the bubble is or what it weighs its 13.50, And there is no negotiation on the price there down right mean about it. When you do the 5 x 8 inside the 9 x 11 do you still have to do the customs declaration ? And do you take the chance the envelope will go threw a roller and crush the seeds ?

here when I do it a bubble is a package price might as well be a box goes by weight and costly but the envelope paper to there eye is a envelope price I know sounds goofy, yep I always write out customs form for starving musicians they get those organic quitar pics

Quin is right.
I get the same $13.50 and $9.73 charges for bubble packs going to Europe and Canada respectively.

Most regular mail does not go through customs until a certain size and/or weight has been surpassed. Unless the seed is on the receiving countries banned list , it takes a lot of seeds before a phyto is required .The rules of the country you are sending to is what matters.

Quinn, could you please email me at [email protected]

I'd like to send you a bubble for a fundraiser we are doing, and the North Shore Boyz would be thrilled to also grow a couple Werner seeds.

Thanks/Glenn

The only problem here is the cheaper system here is much more likely to get seeds broken. the 10$ & 13 $ packages are treated better. In the U.S. I get bubbles that paid 98.cents A lot of the times the seeds are broken. For what we do here.$50 seeds deserve first class shipping in my opinion. If there great seeds I would pay the higher amount to be sure they get there not damaged.Irreplaceable seeds go in a prescription bottle then in a 10 -13 $ bubble. Just my Not so humble opinion & experience.

The reason Don is having success is that the mail is being treated as a flat. This mail goes into what is called a flat-tainer which is about 14-16 in. deep and not much bigger around than a standard flat dimension. that mail does not go in with the parcels and so very small chance of a 50 lb. weight hitting them. The rollers they go through have to be able to widen out from the smallest thickness to the maximum thickness allowed for a flat. If there is nothing blunt to snag , all is usually good. Don't forget , hundreds of millions of pieces a day , therefor crap can happen based on sheer numbers.

According to my post office top dog, all bubbles will go thru the roller if they fit, regardless of the postage on it or any stickers. He says the best way to insure a bubble does not go thru the machines is to use a big enough envelope. 9x12. So Don's method might be the way to go.

Quinn. Sorry!
I probably only sent $ 10. My mistake. Last year there were so many differences.
I thought it was enough.
Please send the seeds for my auction of Crazy-Growers.
If you have Paypal, I will immediately transfer the rest of the money. Or I send it by letter? Or I will send more money in autumn 2017.
The Crazy Crowers thank you for the great support of the last years.
Please give me signs. Excuse me for the trouble I've caused.
Best regards
Janni

It's not just you Janni. The way postage prices fluctuate up and down, I'm afraid I may have shorted the Patons. I hope they let me know :)

Put packing peanuts or some other light foam in bubble to also ensure it doesn't go through rollers.
