Not sure why but my giant pumpkins are turning green. The cream colored ones have a green pigment in their skin not affecting the orange ones though. Too much cool weather or moisture or not enough sun ?

Genetics. Remember that Howard Dill crossed huge green squash with smaller orange pumpkins for 30 years to get the Atlantic Giant. The green force is still strong within today's giants.

Back in the 80's the Gancarz brothers grew world records that were red, pink, and gray!

I keep mine covered & it has a lot of light green, mainly at the ribs & the blossom end.
Tonight it's starting to get a light cream color at the blossom end also.
