I was wondering what people use for a good hoist that's is not too expensive.
I have a pumpkin that could be as much as 1,300#s , and can't take a chance, as this should be double my state record.
thanks.

You may find cheaper prices on other sites for these models, but I'm quite happy with the Ross hoist that I have. They seem to be the cheapest brand that is actually held to some engineering and testing standard.

I got a very nice ingersol rand from ebay in the past. 2.5 ton I think. Even with shipping under $150.00 if I remember correctly.

I bought a 2 ton from harbor freight like the one in Larry's link. After 6 years it works as good as the day I bought it.
