My pumpkin has some very white blotches on it, it seems softer in those areas as well does anyone have any ideas what it is they also seem to be getting larger

Soft white blotches sounds like it is aborting or a burn. Do you by chance have a tarp touching it and is it still growing?

I have one that is doing the same thing and unfortunately I think smallmouth is right. Try some sulfur powder and a fan if you have electric.This was my porch kin so it was less than 20 days old and with heat in the 90's for almost a week it can make it abort. Good Luck!

Thank you for your help, unfortunately after further investigating i discovered it was rotting underneath, my first weighed in at 160 lbs not too bad. Thanks for all the help everyone
