yes i am, the 2 possums and 2 squirrels and rabbit i caught are all new critters for me, but i seem to catch 10-15 Groundhogs and racoons every year !!! thats what its like when your garden is in the middle of a woods !!! my water source is a mud hole 400 feet away and no electricity.lucky i watched gilligans islands when i was a little kid and learned how to live on a deserted island. LOL... (o:

Groundhogs are the worst !!! before i learned how to catch them, they would start at one end of a row and like a lawnmower completely wipe out a crop in 2-3 days. worse than deer !

Wow, you destroy my count trying to just catch coons!
3 possum 3 coons 9 rabbits 1 Fox
Everything gets let back into the yard except the coons, I take them down to some woods off the river.

bnot, ask the boys in blue to patrol yer patch, tell them if they are successful, you will donate a dozen doughnuts for every pound of jerky they supply!!! I bet they jump on the idea!!! LOL Peace, Wayne Deer ate up my first set of green beans, I could see the foot prints...No other damage in the patch this year from legged critters! Knock on Wood! Ouch, now my head hurts!

B-not, large live traps for deer actually exist!!! Used clover traps, as there called, to trap deer years ago when I was in college. We were trapping live deer and placing ear tags and radio collars on them. You talk about a good time!!! Try wrestling an adult deer to the ground inside a big box trap!!! I even got some video of it. I have deer and ground hog issues but been using a 4 wire electric fence for years and seems to deter everything except bunnies. I also have some small food plots on my property which seems to take the interest away from the garden. I've grown regular pumpkins outside the electric fence in the past and the deer seemed to ignore them when they had something better to munch on, just a thought!!!

i little over 5 years ago i was working and weeding in my garden and i started to notice this small plane hovering over me obviously looking at me sitting their. after 3-4 minutes it slowly costed away. i wasn't sure but i thought that maybe it was the police. so the next day when i went to my garden i noticed all these house shoe foot prints all around my garden and the tracks came in from the back side of the woods. it then finally came to me that the police thought that my garden was probably pot plants !!! they probably couldn't beleive anyone would grow a vegetable garden in the middle of a woods !!! LOL (o: i still find it funny how they snuck it the back way through the woods on horse back.
