Looks to me, to be a product that I'd buy from a professional supplier and incorporate to my soil. You can't just burn a bunch of sticks and nuts and hope to get a viable product. Great website, lots of info, details and contacts.

I spent a lot of time last winter looking into biochar. There is a lot of conflicting info out their. What was clear is the use of wood ash is good in small amounts if your PH is a little low. Lots of micronutrients.

I looked into biochar last winter also. After researching I made the determination that it would not help me much for the cost. All soil is different though so some growers could benefit from it.

I made my on biochar and tested it out on 1 plant site. This was a spot that typically didn't grow as good for me and this year has my biggest pumpkin so far.

I have biochar manufacturer 10 miles down the road from me. I think the stuff can be most helpful to folks that have soils that leach a lot of micros...i.e. sandy soil. I've got some and have used it sparingly.
