looks bad- but whats rest like? getting way late would you pollinate up to sept?

Rest of what...?the squash?...one little hail mark...plant is ok...today's pollination looks good...the crack is just what you see, I'm guessing it will close together again when it lays down...I can see right in there though...does that even matter?
