I would go back to prehistoric days when the ground was loaded with mykos and find a 7000lb wild SOB ...kick a hole right in the side and dive in...fill my pockets...

As an orange grower, I'd would choose to grow the 940 Mombert 00 again. The one 940 seed I germinated, I couldn't get a pumpkin set on it. Bob Troy grew two real nice pumpkins off of it, in different years. Judging from pics I saw of them, one was an awesome red/orange, and the other was a dark blaze orange. Nice shape on both of them IMO.

I would like a shot at the 869 Calai again. Fred was so nice he gave me two 846's and two 869's. I killed my 846's right out of the gate

Ron and Shannon,
The 801 and 869 were both great color seeds in their day. It would be awesome to pollinate something like the 1317 Clementz with the 801. Clarence Koch had really nice red/orange pumpkin off the 801. Mike Frantz and Don Langevin each grew grew a beauty off the 869.

609 Laemmle would be interesting to work with. In extremely limited planting, it gave us 1/2 of the 567.5 Mombert.

563 Geerts- has genetics from the 884 Black & 990 Bax with some of the Gancarz line in the mix which makes it a little bit different

835 McIntyre- an orange producer with World Record genetics

Any of Don Black's stuff- especially the 620, 1018, and 682- I really like the 620 and wish it were better represented in modern genetics. It is an underappreciated part of the 705 Stelts pedigree. It produced a couple of huge pumpkins in the late 90's.

981 Gervais- I suspect this is the source of the best stuff in the 898 Knauss genetics (the 706 Knauss off of the 1048 Cox was very heavy to the charts)

1156 Larsen- the one that put the 898 Knauss on the map..... This one could probably still germinate if it has been stored well.
